The address file market is a small market in Poland but for the past few years it has been growing rapidly. Catalogs and mail order selling are one of the forms of direct marketing which is the most successful. In comparison with the other Central European countries, the Polish direct marketing market is quite well developed. Nearly 40 million consumers pay attention to promotional offers received by post. A large number of firms market company databases, and some of them are very specialized.
The number of address files available for Poland is estimated to be 15. Most Polish mail order sellers go through address brokers to sell their files, in order to avoid possible misuse.
There are 18 providers of address files in Poland: 3 specialised in BtoC files, 9 in BtoB and 6 non specialized.
